Saree

These are the most well-known Indian dresses, and they are made up of long, unsewn textiles with patterns. Typically, this cloth is 2-4 feet wide and 5-9 feet long.

This is the most popular clothing among Indian ladies, and it may be worn in a variety of ways depending on the occasion. Wrapping one end of the fabric around your waist and the other over your shoulders is the most frequent way to wear a sari.

Choli lehenga

Another traditional Indian dress is popular in North India, especially Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Rajasthan.

Lehenga (long embroidery),  pleated skirt, and choli make up this ensemble (short blouse). This blouse usually has short sleeves and a plunging neckline to perfectly fit the upper body. Wrapped and covered like a sari, Dupatta inserted into the skirt completes the look.

Modern Lehenga Choli dresses come in various styles, including cape style dresses, blazer style dresses, and side slit dresses.

Kurta and Kurtis

Knee-length blouses known as kurtas or Kurtis are common in Indian dress and are typically worn on formal occasions. However, they look great in the office and are frequently paired with Indian dupatta textiles. Kurtas can be worn over churidars, leggings, jeans, or over salwar pants with tight ankles and loose thighs.

Salwar Kameez

These outfits, often known as Punjabi suits, are predominantly worn in North India. The costume consists of thin leggings that adjust to the waist and waistline under the long tunic Cammies. This is a popular outfit among Bollywood performers and teens, and it is frequently paired with a Dupatta. The tight waist, hips, and ankles are some of the other varieties of this clothing.
